New since 2006, vehicles going up with passengers, and paying extra for this, must have two auto passes to bring down two runners (formerly one pass was sufficient).

Commemorative yellow ChampionChips will be available for purchace again this year. If you've ever considered purchasing your own ChampionChip, now is a great time. In conjunction with the Mt. Washington Road Race, we will be able to sell this nifty chip to you for only $30 (regularly $35 and up). Those of you who buy one of these up front (or who already own their own ChampionChip) and use it in the race, will receive a $2 discount on the entry fee. You may use this chip in any ChampionChip event anywhere in the world. And just think, when you get to the finish line, you don’t even have to remove the chip if you own it!

If you don’t wish to become a ChampionChip owner, a rental chip will be provided for you and you’ll need to return it back at the bottom of the mountain in the event tent. If you forget to return it, lose it, or just decide to keep it, your credit card will be charged $35 for the chip and service fees. To avoid this, you MUST return the chip at the race in the tent.

THE BLACK RENTAL CHIPS CANNOT BE USED AGAIN,
SO BE SURE TO RETURN THEM AT THE RACE TENT.
